Privacy policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information The Application Coach ("we", "us") collects, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Who is responsible

The Application Coach is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Contact us at blakeworkie@gmail.com about anything in this policy, including access, correction or deletion requests.

What we collect

We don't run accounts, forms or newsletters, so we don't collect your name, ID number or contact details through the site.

When you browse the site, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. See the cookies and advertising section below for ads and measurement.

When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to improve our guides, and we delete correspondence we no longer need within 12 months.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

Cookies, advertising and Google

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site does not set its own tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary security cookies.

Advertising. We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show ads on this site. When ads are shown:

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads are shown.

Affiliate links. If a page contains an affiliate or referral link and you click it, the company you visit may set its own cookie to record that you came from us. Their privacy policy applies on their site.

Measurement. If we add analytics (for example Google Analytics or Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand which guides are useful, we'll list it here first.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to us processing it. Email us at blakeworkie@gmail.com. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

Changes

We'll update this page and the date at the top if anything changes.
